Working in the construction industry as a carpenter for over 10 years, Paul then moved his skills to joining Boeing Aerostructures Australia as a tradesman working on the moveable trailing edges for the 787 Dreamliner for 6 years.

It is at this time that Paul found a passion in safety at Boeing which allowed him to undertake formal study in the field.

With close to 8 years of experience across an array of industries including commercial and civil construction, manufacturing, warehousing, facility services, foundry and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG); Paul has a proven track record of establishing, implementing & maintaining Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems to achieve Certification to ISO9001, 14001, 45001 & AS/NZS 4801 Standards and legislative compliance while also developing and implementing creative solutions to identified problems.

As a Safety Professional, Paul has a passion for developing effective safety strategies that emphasise continuous improvement, employee engagement in identifying and controlling potential risks or hazards and developing a positive and effective safety culture.

Professional Experience

Ian has worked in the Lifting, Height Safety, Overhead Crane Industry and Safety industry for 30 years in various positions. Ian operated his own business for 15 years in Lifting & testing equipment with his last position being the General Manager for a major overhead crane servicing company.

Ian is an accomplished Trainer in certified course’s as listed and a consultant in the above industries and has consulted to companies such as Wesfarmers industrial division, Downer, Bombardier Rail, One Steel, National Pacific, Maxitrans and many more.

Ian has worked with companies to help them create OHSEQ management plans, Risk assessments, Policies and Procedures in OHSEQ.
